8.6 Star NatHERS Rating

Drawing inspiration from the sandy and earthy tones of the coastline and surrounding nature, this home is a sanctuary that embodies tranquillity and warmth. The sculptural skylights and large north-facing glazing accentuate the high ceilings and bathes the home in natural sunlight, enhancing the connection to the outdoors and creating an airy, inviting atmosphere. Whether you’re lounging indoors or enjoying the sea breeze in the garden, every moment spent here is an opportunity to embrace the coastal lifestyle and find solace living in harmony with the surrounding natural beauty. The interior design for this coastal home embodies an earthy, homely, and warm ambiance. Utilising textural tiles and stone benchtops, the design seamlessly integrates natural elements. Warmth is accentuated through the use of natural timbers and brass fixtures, while timber-finish windows and doors invite the coastal landscape inside.

As a renovation project to an existing heritage home, it can sometimes be challenging to reach our carbon reduction targets. The existing house had a low energy rating due to lack of insulation and high performance glazing, while also being powered by a gas hot water system and heated by a gas-powered hydronic system.
